Cecil Molands, 71, of Union City died 8:03 p.m. April 23, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Revs. Jerry Leggett and Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be David Worley, Rick Mangold, Noel Vickers, Eric Knott, Adam Molands and Jeffrey Kenyon. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
He was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Breathitt County, Ky., son of the late Frank and Bertha (Gross) Molands. He married the former Beverly Byars June 21, 1970. She survives. He attended Second Baptist Church in Union City.
He is also survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa and Mark Huntley of St. Helen, Mich., Courtney and Tony Eaves of Union City and Kim Ramsey of Roscommon, Mich.; seven sons and five daughters-in-law, Rubin and Rena Molands, Frankie and Billie Molands and Jason and Deeann Molands, all of Union City, Randy and Beth Molands of Troy, Jeff Caudle and David Molands, both of St. Helen, and Dana and Pam Molands of Grayling, Mich.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny Ray and Brenda Molands and David and Sheila Molands, all of Mount Sterling, Ky., Roger and Wilma Molands of Jackson, Ky., and Walter and Barbara Molands of Lima, Ohio; three sisters and his brother-in-law, Beverly Comber of Beattyville, Ky., Joyce and Spivey Lankford of Nashville and Marie Deaton of Jackson, Ky.; 35 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Athina Marshall and his brother, Corbit Molands.
