• Every Thursday from April through June Knoxville hosts Sundown in the City. The event is a free outdoor concert series in Market Square that has drawn thousands of people to downtown Knoxville on Thursday nights every spring and summer. The bands that perform at Sundown are chosen for their ability to entertain a crowd and their variety, from reggae to rock to jam and beyond. On many occasions, more than 12,000 music-lovers have come to enjoy acts like Bela Fleck, Little Feat and Steve Winwood.
