Lovie Louise Irvine

Mrs. Lovie Louise Irvine, 85, of Dresden, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fuller Street Baptist Church, Dresden with Bro. H. T. Conner and Bro. Devon Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery with Bowlin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Darryl Gardner, Duriel Sowell, Dexter Sowell, Kendrick Edwards, Jordan Gardner and Christopher Gardner will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Edwards, James Hamilton, Willie rooks, Rusty Gardner, Keith Irvine and Raymond Johnson.
Mrs. Irvine was born in Dresden, daughter of the late Tommy and Elnore Arlene Knox Thomas. She was the widow of Jimmy Irvine. She was a seamstress at Kellwood Company and member of Fuller Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James Russell and Martha Irvine of Albany, N.Y.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Barbara and James Washington of Dresden, and Maybelle Burr of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one son-in-law, Raymond “Junebug” Gardner of Dresden; one daughter-in-law, Daisy Mai Irvine of Martin; six grandchildren, Bettina Rooks, Cherie Edwards, Deidre Hamilton, Andrea Sowell, Keith Irvine and Rusty Gardner; one special grandchild, Pia “Pooh” West; 17 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby Lou Gardner; and two sons, Dwight Irvine and Gordon Allen Irvine.
