COF deadline set

A representative of the College Opportunity Fund has announced that the deadline for the College Opportunity Fund, a program sponsored by the Bill and Carol Latimer Charitable Foundation, has been set for May 8. The College Opportunity Fund is open to all graduating seniors of Obion or Weakley county high schools who plan to attend college. All applicants will be contacted by the program’s educational director for a scheduled interview.
The COF provides approved students with financial assistance for college through interest-free loans and potential loan forgiveness of up to 52 percent.
Applications are available to students at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City or on the Web at www.latimerfoundation.org.
