Mrs. Freda Kyle, 89, of Lexington, died Friday, April 16, 2010.
Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lexington with Rev. William Jones officiating. Burial was in Lexington Cemetery with Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kyle was born April 12, 1921 in Iron County, Mo., daughter of the late Cisero and Mattie Jane Sutton Kelley. She was the widow of Archie Allen Kyle. She was a retired cafeteria worker for Caywood Elementary School, a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Senior Circle and FCE Club. She was named 2008 Ideal Homemaker of the Year for Henderson County.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Kyle of Eugene, Or., Kevin Kyle of Jackson and Kerry Kyle of Lexington; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Charlie Keen of Martin; one brother, Herb Kelley of Annapolis, Mo.; one sister, Lee Boatwright of Ironton, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Scott Dean, Lindsay and Clint Cummins, Kellie Keen, Kacy Kyle and Mark Kyle.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Jean Kyle; one brother, Carl Kelley; one sister, Opal Conley; and one grandson, Berek Allen Kyle.
