Dresden man charged with attempted murder
A Dresden man appeared in court Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and four counts of reckless endangerment. According to an affidavit, David McDonald of Wilson Street in Dresden was arrested April 13 after he apparently struck the window of a person’s vehicle in town with his fist and then pulled a gun on the victim. McDonald is accused of shooting the windshield of the car, which caused fragments to hit the victim’s neck and face. According to the report, there were four juvenile victims in the vehicle during the incident. McDonald was charged with attempted second-degree murder and four counts of reckless endangerment (serious injury or use of a deadly weapon). He is held without bond in the Weakley County Detention Center. WCP 4.22.10
