The University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawk ROTC Battalion will host an ROTC Hall of Fame induction ceremony Thursday at 5 p.m. in Room 217 of Boling University Center.
The event is free and open to the public.
UT Martin ROTC Alumni Hall of Fame members currently have six general officers among the 17 total outstanding Skyhawks. A total of 631 officers have been commissioned through the Military Science and Leadership Department since 1964, when the Army awarded the university “senior” ROTC status.
Two general officers who are scheduled to attend the 2010 Hall of Fame Induction ceremony are the speaker, Maj. Gen. James Sholar, and retired Lt. Gen. John Castellaw.
This year’s inductees include Maj. Gen. Mike Maloan, UT Martin Class of ’72; Col. James W. Adams, ROTC Class of ’84; Col. Leith A. Benedict, ROTC Class of ’85; retired Col. James W. Danley, ROTC Class of ’78; and Col. Stephen E. Walker, ROTC Class of ’81.
