Performance planned at UT Martin

The University of Tennessee at Martin Lyric Opera Theatre will present “The Language of Love” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Watkins Auditorium of Boling University Center.
Selections will include scenes from “The Secret Marriage” by Cimarosa; “Semele” by Handel; “Le nozze di Figaro” and “Cosi fan tutte” by Moz-art; “La Boheme” by Puccini; “Rigoletto” by Verdi; “Orpheus in the Underworld” by Offenbach; “The Merry Widow” by Lehar; “Oklahoma” by Rodgers & Hammerstein; “Show Boat” by Kern; and “Romulus Hunt” by Simon.
The cast will feature students from the Department of Music, including Josh Gatlin and Nick Gatlin, both of Union City; Elizabeth Baucke and Brittany Thompson, both of Memphis; Jusinda Broughton of Delavan, Wis.; Ginna Cherry of Ripley; Te’Rell Douglas of Jackson; Julia Ellegood of Roseburg, Ore.; Aaron Hand of Fairview; Rachel Lemonds of Dyersburg; and Hoi-Yan Vivian Mak of Hong Kong.
Admission will be $5 for adults. Students with UT Martin ID and children under age 12 will be admitted free of charge, according to a spokesman.
