Shiloh National Military Park’s “Park Day” volunteer event has been rescheduled to 9 a.m.-noon, April 24. The event, was cancelled due to rain.
“Park Day” brings together Civil War enthusiasts from around the country to volunteer to help preserve the nation’s battlefields. This year, Shiloh rangers and volunteers will be repainting cannon carriages and historic cast iron tablets in Rhea Field, erecting split rail fences in the historic orchards and more.
Volunteers are asked to sign up to participate. Commemorative “Park Day” t-shirts will be given to the first 100 registered volunteers.
