Jon William Drysdale

Jon William “J.W.” Drysdale, 83, of Dresden, died Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Memphis.
Funeral services were held at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday and graveside services were held at 4:30 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery with Ken Butterworth officiating and Bowlin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Drysdale was born in Weakley County, son of the late Robert Binford and Bessie Ruth Templeton Drysdale, He was the widower of Millie Tyson Drysdale. He was a veteran of the United States Army and United States Navy, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and retired from National Cotton Council.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Vickie R. Daily of Westminster, Md., Lisa and Heinz Stefanzick of Woodinville, Wa. And Joy D. and Kenneth Ham of Richland, Wa.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Dolly Drysdale of Woodstock, Ga.; 16 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Tabitha, Lydia, Josiah, Caleb, Jada, Elijah, Levi, Gideon, Bill, Jeff, Julian, Gabrielle, Colby, Malinda and Marshall; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Liam.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Elton Drysdale.
