Cornelia Ann (Rogers) Walker, 64, of Palos Heights, Ill., a former resident of Kenton, died April 11, 2010, of cancer at Palos Community Hospital.
Graveside services were set for 1 p.m. today at Fairmont Cemetery in Willow Springs, Ill., with Lawn Funeral Home in Burbank, Ill., in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept. 12, 1945, in Brownsville, daughter of the late Julie and Eunice Rogers. The family later moved to Kenton and she graduated from the former Kenton High School in 1963. She then moved to Willow Springs and worked for General Motors until retiring from the Janesville, Wis., facility.
She had spent her retirement years in Burbank and in Mercer, Wis., and she enjoyed writing poetry and feeding animals at her summer home in Mercer. She was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Walker; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Maria Rogers of Momence, Ill.; her grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers.
She was also preceded in death by her sister and her brother.
