Completed arrangements are being announced for Mildred “Molly” (Corum) Powell, 77, of Union City. She died 4 a.m. April 12, 2010, at the Angel House near Union City.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. James Kinsey will officiate and burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery near Kenton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Edgin, Edward Edgin, Keith Edgin, Jason Fraley, James Smothers and Paul Eaves. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Edgin, Paul Wallace and Rex Thomason.
Mrs. Powell was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Obion County, daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Annie Mae (Thompson) Corum. She married Odell Powell Feb. 18, 1967. He died Nov. 14, 2008. She was a retired beautician and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and her son-in-law, Shelia May Adcock and Sherry Kay and Edward Edgin, all of Troy; her grandson, Stevie Edgin of Troy; her great-granddaughter, Maliah Javana Edgin of Troy; and two sisters, Mary Smothers of Ringold, Ga., and Helen Ferrell of Cordova.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
