The Rev. Frank Brown Jr., 61, of Dyersburg, father of Saundra Quinn of South Fulton, died April 5, 2010, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a minister and a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sat-urday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dyersburg, with the Rev. William Ozier officiating. Interment will follow in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble.
Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Craig Ozier, Gary Quinn, Norman Johnson, R.J. Harris, Stacy Harris, Shawn Brooks and Kevin Flagg. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Barnes and John Lovins Jr.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 2-2:30 p.m.
Cosmopolitan Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Sept. 29, 1948, son of Mattie Mae Brown of Dyersburg and the late Frank Brown Sr. He was married to the former Imogean Swift, who survives, and was a U.S. Army war veteran who served in Vietnam. For his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
He had been the pastor and founder of New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Dyersburg.
Survivors also include four other daughters and five sons-in-law, Cynthia and Harold Brooks of Marion, Ind., Stephanie and Tim Harris of Jackson, Ty Ronda and Sordao Brown of North Carolina, Catrina and Norman Johnson of Dyersburg and Gary Quinn of South Fulton; three sons and two daughters-in-law, R.J. and Leddie Harris, Stacy and Karen Harris and Tristan Davis, all of Dyersburg; his brother, Jerry Brown of Miami; two sisters, Judy Lovins and Linda Jones, both of Dyersburg; and several nieces, cousins and grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two uncles, Percy Brown Sr. and Percy Brown Jr.; two aunts, Janie Mae Norvell and Nannie Mae Mann; and his brother-in-law, John Lovins.
