MOTORCYCLIST INJURED | two-vehicle accident
MOTORCYCLIST INJURED — Emergency personnel worked Monday evening to help an area motorcyclist who was injured in a crash around 5 p.m. Monday just east of Dukedom on State Line Road. At 5:09 p.m., the Fulton Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance Service responded to a mutual aid request from the Weakley County Ambulance Service for a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. Fulton Fire Chief Jim Hartz said family members indicated Ron Taylor of Dukedom was injured when his Harley-Davidson™ motorcycle collided with a pickup truck. Paramedics and emergency medical technicians from Twin City Ambulance Service and Weakley County Ambulance Service, first responders, Air Evac Lifeteam personnel and numerous bystanders assisted at the scene. Taylor was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, according to Hartz. The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
