Marvin August Charles Lehmkuhl, 88, of Dresden, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.
John Paul Walker, Kurt Lehmkuhl, Jeff Leach, Jeff Crawford, Dawn Estrada and Leigh Cook served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Cody Kohla and Pat Cook.
Lehmkuhl was born March 10, 1922, in Bremer County, Iowa, son of the late Otto and Olga Meier Lehmkuhl. He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran. He was retired as head of assembly and sales for Dico Manufacturing and member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Maxine Segebarth Lehmkuhl of Dresden; one daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and John Walker of LaPorte City, Iowa; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Cary and Cheryl Lehmkuhl of Gleason and Gregory Alan Lehmkuhl; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Ashbrenner and Marvel Biesterfelt.
