Ms. Ferrie and other members of UT Martin’s SAI coordinated a music workshop for individuals served by CDS. The activity was held at the Boling University Center on campus, where more than 80 individuals from CDS attended. The group from CDS heard musical demonstrations on the clarinet, saxophone and oboe, then divided into three groups to try out the percussion, woodwind and brass instruments for themselves. CDS is a community-based nonprofit organization in Martin that provides services and support to adults with developmental disabilities from Obion, Weakley, Henry, Carroll and Lake counties.
