General Sessions
The following cases were disposed of March 30 and April 1 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed. All others are published, including judicial diversions, without exception.
• Anthony R. Curtis (1106 Sixth St., Hickman, Ky.) — driving under the influence, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended except 48 hours, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $350 fine and costs, driver’s license revoked one year.
• Abraham Griffin (936 Mill Creek Road, Troy) — worthless check, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended, pay check and costs.
• Willie S. Huff Jr. (1903 Sunrise St., Union City) — simple possession/casual exchange, judicial diversion, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $250 fine and costs.
• Daniel R. Jones (315 West Lee St., Union City) — theft of merchandise/shoplifting, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended, $100 fine and costs, $14.96 restitution to Walmart, banned from Walmart, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation.
• Christopher Kehayias (1340 Fayne Road, Brighton) — misdemeanor theft, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended, unsupervised probation, $100 fine and costs, pay restitution, banned from Walmart.
• Damonte P. Long (no address listed) — assault/attempt, costs.
• Larry J. Northam (224 South Frazier St., Troy) — driving under the influence, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended except 48 hours, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $350 fine and costs, driver’s license revoked one year.
• Terry W. Sanders (55 Hendricks St., Trimble) — driving under the influence, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended except 48 hours, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $350 fine and costs, driver’s license revoked one year.
• Lawrence Winters (326 South Third St., Apt. B, Union City) — criminal trespassing, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $100 fine and costs.
• Martha M. Anderson (1849 Wade Wiley Road, Union City) — initiate manufacture of methamphetamine and promoting methamphetamine manufacture, bound over to the grand jury.
• Justin D. Easley (711 Homestead Drive in Obion County) — two counts of theft of merchandise/shoplifting, time served, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $100 fine and costs on each count, $153 restitution, banned from Walmart; promoting methamphetamine manufacture and initiate manufacture of methamphetamine, bound over to the grand jury.
• Zachary A. Ellison (2234 Nailling Drive, Union City) — simple possession/casual exchange, 11 months and 29 days to serve 15 days in jail, $250 fine and costs; resisting a stop, arrest or search, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended, $100 fine and costs.
• Anteriquius D. Mackins (614 North Home St., Union City) — probation violation, 60 days jail.
• Travis McCullough (1434 East County Home Road, Union City) — promoting methamphetamine manufacture and initiate manufacture of methamphetamine, bound over to the grand jury.
• Michael Porter (634 Lake St., Tiptonville) — simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $250 fine and costs, 10 days jail; fourth offense driving while license revoked, supervised probation, $100 fine and costs, 10 days jail.
• Crystal Sanchez (1849 Wade Wiley Road, Union City) — promoting methamphetamine manufacture and initiate manufacture of methamphetamine, bound over to the grand jury.
• Dede M. Speed (410 South Fifth St., Union City) — initiate manufacture of methamphetamine, waived to the grand jury.
• Kevin L. Tipps (520 Palestine Ave., Obion) — domestic assault, $100 fine and costs, 11 months and 29 days jail suspended except time served, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, no contact with the victim; public intoxication, time served, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $50 fine and costs; resisting a stop, arrest or search, time served, 11 months and 29 days supervised probation, $100 fine and costs.
