Elbert Doyle Cooper, 75, of Dresden, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Simmons officiating. Burial was in Macks Grove Cemetery, near Dresden
Corey Sawyers, Chad Cooper, David Scarbrough, Preston Odle, Levi Odle and Steve Manns served as pallbearers.
Cooper was born in Weakley County, son of the late Elbert and Nola Elizabeth Davis Cooper. He was a machinist at Leland-Powell Fasteners, Martin and member of Macks Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Susie May Jackson Cooper of Dresden; one son, Dennis D. Cooper of Dresden; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Billy Scarbrough of Pillowville; one brother and sister-in-law, R. L. and Luan Cooper of Dresden; and four grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Renee Cooper High; and one brother, Richard H. Cooper.
