Percussion ensemble to perform April 18

The University of Tennessee at Martin percussion ensemble will perform its spring concert at 3 p.m. April 18 in the Percussion Rehearsal Room (formerly the Fitness Center) of Boling University Center.
Special guest artist will be Dr. Miles Osland, director of jazz and saxophone studies at the University of Kentucky.
Osland will perform two works with the ensemble, one for jazz flute and another for saxophone. Additional works include pieces to be featured at the ensemble’s concert at the All-State Tennessee Music Educators Association convention April 16 in Nashville.
The UT Martin Steel Band will also be performing.
The ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Julie Hill, assistant professor of music.
