ADVISORY COUNCIL — As part of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City’s efforts to maximize quality and service, a Patient and Family Advisory Council has been created. The council will partner with BMH-UC leaders in planning and evaluating services, programs, policies and teaching materials. They also have been asked to serve on some of the hospital’s key committees related to patient care. Participants include (second from left and continuing) Jack Parker, Union City; Dorothy Ervin, Union City; Sue Barnes, Union City; Beverly Taylor, Martin; Emily Akin, Union City; and Mary Ann Rea, Martin. Hospital staff serving on the council are Kyle Armstrong (left), administration; Pam Hughes, surgery (second from right); and Jennifer Borneman, outpatient rehab. Not available for the picture were Glenda Cozart, Union City; and Derick Ziegler, administrator and CEO. “We are so pleased to have this council of community members as part of our extended Baptist family. They will be helping with many important projects, and I am so appreciative of their commitment,” Ziegler said.
