Skyhawk baseballers
come from behind

The UT Martin baseball team rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 11th inning to claim a 7-6 victory over visiting Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Sunday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.
With the victory, UTM completed a three-game sweep over IPFW.
The Skyhawks return to action Tuesday at home against Memphis.

The UT Martin softball team used a four-run second inning and a Laurie Lindow home run to knock off host Southeastern Louisiana 8-3 and claim its second Lion Classic title in five years.
UT Martin scored its eight runs on only seven hits, while Kate Vanderham tossed a complete game for her second win of the year.
The win keeps the Skyhawks perfect on the year at 5-0 and marks the second time they have swept the Lion Classic, having also going unblemished in the 2006 edition of the tournament.
UT Martin travels to the Volunteer State for its next tournament. The Skyhawks will be making their fifth appearance at the Frost Classic and their first since the 2007 season.
