The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Amanda McGaugh and Michael Muniz, both of Franklin, are being announced today.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Don and Caroline McGaugh of Union City. She is the granddaughter of Ocella McGaugh and the late Joe W. McGaugh of Hickman, and Edith Robinson and the late Floyd Robinson of Union City.

She is a 1994 graduate of Union City High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UT Martin in 1997 and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University in 2000. She received her teaching degree from Oswego State University in 2003 and is currently teaching business and marketing at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood. She will graduate this May from Trevecca Nazarene University with a master’s degree in educational leadership.

The groom-elect is the son of Herbert and Susan Muniz of Franklin. He is the grandson of the late Vernon and Inez Eller of Franklin, and the late Humberto and Herminia Muniz of Havana, Cuba.

He is a 1994 graduate of Franklin High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2001. He is currently employed by F&M Mortgage in Brentwood as a mortgage specialist.

The couple will wed at 7 p.m. June 19 at Franklin First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow the ceremony at the Factory in downtown Franklin.
