Shirley Anne Elliott, 72, of South Fulton died Feb. 5, 2010, at her home.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton, with the Rev. Ron Cox officiating. Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton was in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to South Fulton Baptist Church building fund, 509 Forestdale Ave., South Fulton, TN 38257; American Heart Association National Center, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231; or Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaribeck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.
She was born April 26, 1937, in Barbourville, Ky., daughter of the late Ted R. and Ida (Sutton) Stewart. She was the widow of Eldon Gerald “Jerry” Elliott and had been a special education teacher in the Fulton City School System for 30 years. She was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Loyce and Bruce Barker of South Fulton; three grandchildren, Adam Barker and Reid Barker, both of South Fulton, and Lauren Wade Smalley of Jackson; and her brother, Jerry W. Stewart of Corbin, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Kelly Stewart.
