Miss Landon, Fitch plan July wedding Posted: Thursday, February 4, 2010 8:01 pm The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Katherine Theresa “Katie” Landon and William Bradley Fitch, both of Knoxville, are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Jerry and Marlene Landon of Knoxville. Her grandparents are Loren and Mary Thielen of Knoxville and Cecelia Landon and the late Gerald D. Landon of Abingdon, Ill. She is a 1998 graduate of Farragut High School in Knoxville. She earned bachelor’s degree in English and politics from Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C., in 2002. She was in the graduate program at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, N.C. She has studied abroad in Russia, France and Kuwait and was the recipient of the Mary Mildred Sullivan award while at Converse College. She is director of program growth for Ricebowls. The groom-elect is the son of Walter B. Fitch of Dallas and Jenny Joy Fitch of Nashville. His grandparents are Marion M. Jones and the late T.W. Jones Jr. of Obion and Evelyn Fitch George and the late Walter R. Fitch of Bedford, Texas. He is a 1997 graduate of David Lipscomb Campus School in Nashville. He earned a bachelor’s degree in government relations management from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2001. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., and is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. He is the community president for Community South Bank in Knoxville. The couple will wed at 7 p.m. July 10 at Second Presbyterian Church in Knoxville.
