Eula Bell (Dickenson) Cothron, 101, of Union City died Feb. 1, 2010, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Keith Forrester, Danny Powers, Mike Haynes, H.E. Garrigan, Ken Garrigan, Roger Holt and Wayne Holt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Bryant and Reabon Tenry.
Mrs. Cothron was born Sept. 14, 1908, in Obion County, daughter of the late Tomas William and Alice (Bell) Dickenson. She married Bratton Cothron July 3, 1926. He died April 16, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of Stanley Chapel United Methodist Church near Union City and the Young at Heart Club at Union City Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Hazell and Milton Dowdy of Martin; two grandsons and their wives, Waldrop and Tami Dowdy of Union City and Roger and Linda Dowdy of Martin; three great-grandchildren, Allison Plunk of Brentwood, Dwayne Dowdy of Union City and Erik Dowdy of Martin; five great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Horace Dickenson of Ocala, Fla.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Aline Dickenson.
