Thomas Wayne Cartwright

Thomas Wayne Cartwright, 43, of Gleason, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Kirby and Bro. David Krech officiating. Burial was in Olive Branch Cemetery, Como.
Jeff Vaughn, Israel Olive, Mike Hansel, Mike Suratt, Kerry Suratt, Gene Courtney, Dave Atnip and Essie Paris served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the Weakley County Fire Chief’s Association Honor Guard.
Cartwright was born Jan. 31, 1966, in Aurora, Ill., son of Bobby Wane Cartwright of Byhalia, Miss., and Juanita Kennedy Owens of Savannah. He was a truck driver, a member of Jolley Springs Baptist Church and Como/Ore Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors also include his wife, Mrs. Lou Ann Moon Cartwright of Gleason; one son, Thomas Lee Cartwright of Johnston City, Ill.; step father, Jimmy Owens of Savannah, step mother, Darlene Cartwright of Byhalia; one sister, Anita Nichols of Byhalia; three brothers, Charles Cartwright of Ashland, Miss., Robert Cartwright of Horn Lake, Miss., and Chris Cartwright of Byhalia, Miss.; four step children; and nine step grandchildren.
