Glenn Holland, 82, of Union City died 8:45 p.m. Jan. 14, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Princeton (Ky.) Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Paul Sternisha officiating. Morgan’s Fun-eral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Lyon County, Ky., son of the late John Edd and Kitty Iva (Ladd) Holland. He was married to the former Evelyn Davis Marcelle, who survives, and was a retired welder and pipe fitter at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City. He was a member and active deacon of Union City First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and was an active participant in the community’s Tennessee Senior Olympics.
Survivors also include two sons, David Holland of Bradford and Randall Holland of Union City; three daughters, Glenda Hughes of Pryorsburg, Ky., Carla Pendleton of Fredonia, Ky., and Erica Cook of Greenbriar; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Derrick Holland; and his brother, Floyd Holland.
