Today’s recipe has been submitted by Martha White Kitchens.
Key Lime and Macadamia Bars
Crust
Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
2 cups Martha White® All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup finely chopped macadamia nuts
Filling
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons Martha White® All-Purpose Flour
1 tablespoon grated lime peel, if desired
6 tablespoons fresh lime or key lime juice
6 large eggs, beaten
Toppings
Powdered sugar
Grated lime peel, if desired
 
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13×9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Combine 2 cups flour, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and butter in medium bowl until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in macadamia nuts. Press mixture into bottom of prepared pan. Bake 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
Combine all filling ingredients in separate medium bowl; beat until smooth.
Remove partially-baked crust from oven. Pour filling over crust. Return to oven; bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes or until filling is set. Cool 30 minutes or until completely cooled. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and grated lime peel, if desired. Cut into squares.
