The next regular meeting of Fulton’s new Neighborhood Watch group will be Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at Fulton City Hall.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend, Fulton Mayor Dan Voegeli said.
The Neighborhood Watch organization recently held its third regular meeting. Voegeli said he is happy to report it drew the largest crowd to date, with 19 people representing several neighborhoods around the city. In addition, South Fulton city manager Jeff Vowell and two members of the South Fulton Police Department were present.
“It is gratifying to see our sister city take the lead in organizing Neighborhood Watch in their jurisdiction,” Voegeli said.
However, he said there are still some neighborhoods around Fulton that were not represented at the last meeting.
“Please talk this up to your friends and neighbors so we can be certain every section of the community is protected by citizens watching out for each other. (Fulton) Police Chief Terry Powell will be visiting several groups over the coming days in an effort to encourage greater participation among all the various constituent groups in town,” Voegeli said.
