Convenience store robbed; suspect sought

 Union City police are investigating a robbery that occurred early this morning at a convenience store on West Main Street. Police responded about 7:40 a.m. today to a report of a robbery at Little General No. 8, located at 302 West Main St., where a clerk said a black man entered the store and forced her to give him an undetermined amount of money, according to a Union City Police Department report. She said the man had a knife. The clerk told police she hid in a back room for a period of time after the man left the store and then called police. No injuries were reported. The robbery suspect is described as a black man who is about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, white Nike™ shoes, a big black coat and a ski mask, according to the report.
