DAYTON (AP) — A Tennessee wildlife officer says a fatality that occurred when a boat carrying four hunters capsized in frigid river water in Rhea County is possibly due to the boat being overloaded. Tennessee wildlife officer Joe Busch says 46-year-old Ricky DeWayne Walker of Cleveland did not survive when the 15-foot boat capsized on the Rhea County side of the Tennessee River early Saturday. Busch says the hunters were in a boat rigged with a camper top from a pickup truck. The boat started taking on water in windy conditions and all four men went into the water. The three survivors were rescued by other hunters in boats. Busch says the cause of Walker’s’ death has not been determined but the temperature was in the 20s. Published in The Messenger 1.5.10
