Completed arrangements are being announced for Helen Doris Perry, 73, of Union City, who died Jan. 2, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Church of God in Christ in Union City, with Elder Richard Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tremaine Ward, Grant Blair, Jeff Ward, Greg Ward, Steve Ward and Robert Robinson Jr.

Friends may call at Rawls Funeral Home in Union City 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born Sept. 27, 1936, in Obion County, daughter of the late Sallie Mai (Hampton) and Clarence Johnson Sr. She was a retired 35-year employee of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City and was a lifelong member of Bethel Church of God in Christ, where she was a Mother of the Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn and Robert Robinson Sr. of Union City; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Elaine Ward and Ronald Ward, all of Union City, Gregory and Sharon Ward of Seattle, Jerry and Deborah Ward of Dyersburg and Ricky Ward of Columbia, S.C.; several stepchildren; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary and Elder Ronald Warford of Mayfield, Ky., and Inez and Elder Terry Mayberry and Linda and Charles Mayberry, all of Union City; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Elder Richard and Florence Johnson, Elder Billy and Julia Johnson and John Johnson Sr., all of Union City; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Lee William Ward and Willie Perry.
