Ms. Lovett, Johnson plan summer wedding

The engagement of Tonyia Lovett of Stockbridge, Ga., formerly of Hornbeak, and Timothy Lee “Tim” Johnson of Surfside Beach, S.C., is being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dwight Lovett of Troy and the late Sandria Lovett of Hornbeak and the stepdaughter of Judy Lovett of Troy. Her grandparents are Naomi Cole of Union City, the late D’Nichols Cole of Wynnburg and the late Virtle and Roxie Lovett of Hornbeak.
She is a 1990 graduate of Obion County Central High School. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in 2000 from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville and a master’s degree in art education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2004.
She is employed as an art teacher at Jackson Elementary School in Jonesboro, Ga.
The groom-elect is the son of Bobbie Jo Hester and the late Samuel Lee Johnson of Surfside Beach, S.C. His grandparents are Lois Harvey, the late William Lee Harvey and the late Louise and Harold Johnson, all of Greenville, S.C.
He is a 1987 graduate of Palmetto High School in Williamston, S.C., and a 1998 graduate of Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He is a chef in South Carolina.
A summer wedding is being planned in South Carolina.
