Mr. and Mrs. Bobby W. McConnell

GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY — Mr. and Mrs. Bobby W. McConnell of South Fulton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family. He married the former Peggy Wilhaucks Dec. 12, 1959, at McConnell Baptist Church near Martin, with Tommy Rose of Fulton officiating. Their attendants were Beverly Miller and Johnny McConnell, both of South Fulton, Barbara Fuqua of Martin and the late Gene Miller. She is the daughter of Marie Wilhaucks of Martin and the late James “Buck” Wilhaucks. She worked at the former Taylor Chevrolet in Fulton. He is the son of the late Raymond and Jane McConnell of South Fulton, formerly of Troy. He is a retired farmer. Attending the event were their children and their spouses, Stephanie and Paul Maxwell of South Fulton and Melissa and Donald Hardin of Medina. Others attending were their grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Maxwell and Macy Taylor Maxwell of South Fulton, Hannah Grace Hardin, Connell Wade Hardin and Mason Tyler Hardin, all of Medina, Jeremy Maxwell of Nashville and Leah Maxwell Pate of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and their great-grandchildren, Audrey Ray Pate and Kalie Brook Pate, both of Tuscaloosa.
