Tools stolen

 Police are investigating the theft of over $1,000 worth of tools from a Union City man’s shed. Wes Kennedy of 1420 Forest Drive told police Wednesday that he went to his shed and discovered someone had stolen several tools, according to a Union City Police Department report. It was reported that the shed had a latch, but it was not locked. Kennedy told police he last saw the tools Monday when he was in the shed about 7 p.m. The total amount of the missing tools is $1,192, according to the police report. Included are several power tools, hand tools, a commercial heater, straps and extension cords. published in The Messenger 12.31.09
