 Completed arrangements are being announced for Charles Wesley “Chuck” Clanton Jr., 56, of Troy, who died Dec. 27, 2009, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at White-Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Vann Kissell officiating. Burial will follow in Triangle Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Lester, Mike Lester, Jimmy Lester, Sam Lester, Richard Weaver and Rodney Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Clanton, Roy Clanton, Jay Stigall, Terry Stigall and Bill Goodman. He was born June 5, 1953, in Memphis, son of the late Charles Wesley Clanton Sr., who died July 28, 2009, and Paula (Hughes) Clanton of Troy. He was a mechanic and a veteran, having served as military police in the United States Air Force. He was a member of West Frayser Baptist Church in Memphis. He is also survived by his brother, Keith Clanton of Saulsbury; his daughter, Monica Clanton of Texas; two sons, Wesley Clanton and Bobby Clanton, both of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Lane Romero and Angelina Simmons, both of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
