Hollis Littrell, 89, of the Mt. Pelia Community, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson.
Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Pelia Baptist Church with Rev. Noel Edwards and Rev. Houston Patrick officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery in Martin.
Bob Stewart, Danny Cook, Bill Walls, Larry Coleman, Sam Brooks and Tulley Moore served as pallbearers.
Littrell was born June 8, 1920, in Weakley County, son of the late Alfred M. and Wessie Vinson Littrell. He was the widower of Bernice Hailey Littrell. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, a farmer and a member of Mt. Pelia Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Littrell of Memphis and a sister, Jean Stover of Martin.
Two sisters, Ruby Carson and Jolita Littrell also preceded him in death.
