Aaron Ray Hawks, 67, of South Fulton died Dec. 24, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

A private memorial service is planned at a later date. Hornbeak  Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Aug. 17, 1942, in Fulton County, Ky., son of the late John Thomas and Cyril Lorene (Henderson) Hawks.

He was an electrician and a member of Local 1925 in Martin. He was also an avid musician and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his daughter, Aaronda Bivens of South Fulton; his son, Derek Hawks of South Fulton; his brother, Tom Hawks of Tennessee Ridge; three sisters, Deloris Orr of Paducah, Ky., JoAnne Conner of Mayfield, Ky., and Louvena Wild of Eureka, Mo.; three grandchildren, Maleah (Hawks) Adams of Portland, Harrison Gage Hawks of Southaven, Miss., and Aalia Bivens of South Fulton; two great-grandchildren, Chandler Adams and Lyrik Adams, both of Portland; and several nieces and nephews.
