| | SPECIAL OC HONORS — Three Obion County Central High School football players were honored with special recognition at Tuesday night’s annual banquet at the school. Among those receiving individual accolades were: (from left) Spencer Terry, Tank Award — given in honor of Rebel player Tyler Tankersley; Aaron Cary, Iron Man Award; and Chase Roney ‘11 Award.’ Rebel head coach Shawn Jackson presented the awards to the three seniors, and recognized the team as a whole after it reversed its winless fortunes of the past two years with just the eighth playoff berth in school history and a final 6-5 winning record. Terry, Cary and Roney were a part of a 16-member senior class. OC placed fourth in District 13AA — second among Class 4A teams — and won five of its six home games while also triumphing in four of its six district games. | | | | |
