The Let’s Get It Together column serves as a forum for school reunion information. Classes or schools wishing to share information about an upcoming reunion or the planning sessions related to reunions or needing help in locating class members for a reunion may contact Glenda Caudle by phone at 885-0744 during weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-noon; by e-mail at glendacaudle@ucmessenger.com or by fax at 885-0782 with information or in person at the newspaper office at 613 East Jackson St. in Union City. There is no charge for this one time service. Please include the name and daytime phone number of the person submitting the information.
The Obion County Central High School Alumni Reunion will be Nov. 27 at Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 on North Clover Street in Union City. The event will also be a fund raiser for Paralyzed Veterans Association.
The price of the tickets is $5 to cover the cost of renting the VFW, entertainment and miscellaneous. To keep the cost down, those attending are asked to bring an appetizer or “left over” so there will be something to snack on. That is only a request and not a demand.
Tickets are limited to approximately 300 on a “first come” basis. Tickets are only available at the VFW and from Russ Thomas at 446-7049 at Terry Petty Chevrolet in Union City.
Anyone who would like to set up a program, slide show or presentation before the entertainment starts is asked to send a description of what they plan to do to occhsalumni@gmail.com, according to a spokesman.
Anyone with e-mail addresses of OCCHS alumni is asked to send them to occhsalumni@gmail.com.
