Velma Caudle, 96, of Martin, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Home, Dresden.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Basham and Rev. Bruce McCaleb officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Timothy Boyd, Marvin Alexander, Larry Fowler, Bucky Harris, John Waterfield and Stan Baker will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Caudle was born December 21, 1912, in Ben Hill, Ga., daughter of the late John and Ella Danforth Stewart. She was the widow of H. E. “Red” Caudle. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Harry Lee Caudle of Martin and Warren Caudle of Carencro, La.; one daughter, Sandra Boyd of Martin; and four grandchildren, Tammy Iffland, Timothy Boyd, Brian Enoch and Heather Rose.
