The Messenger, September 3, 2009
Scott Fraker of Missouri will be in concert at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 2250 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
“Scott is no stranger to Calvary, having performed several times in the past,” a spokesman said. “His four and-a-half octave range as a bass singer was not discovered until his senior year in high school. Scott sang with Chosen Few from 1993 until 2005, at which time he discerned God’s call to go out on his own and to preach the gospel as well as sing the gospel. Scott has a tremendous burden for the lost and a great burning to see churches revived.”
The Rev. Melvin B. Poe and the congregation invite everyone to come and hear Fraker’s testimony and message in song.
There will be no admission charge, but a love offering will be received.
There will be no 8:30 a.m. New Life Service at Calvary beginning this Sunday and continuing through the spring, at which time a new start-up date will be announced, the spokesman said.
