Dyersburg State Community College is anticipating a record number of students attending classes this fall — meaning traffic and especially parking will be difficult.
The college is asking all students to carpool if at all possible.
At the Dyersburg campus, students may use the Okeena Pool and Moose Lodge parking lots. Attendants will be on hand to assist with parking in grassy areas near the baseball field. Dyersburg police will help with the traffic flow around the campus. There are only 582 parking spaces on campus for the anticipated 936 students.
At the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County, students will be allowed to park in the grass east of the buildings. Covington police will be on hand to assist with traffic. There are 338 parking spaces available for the 569 anticipated students, a spokesman said.
