On Saturday, Aug. 22, the Pilot Club of Dresden will host its annual Bicycle Rodeo. The rodeo will be held in front of the Harmon and Lucille McWherter Civic Center beside Wilson Park in Dresden. It is for children in K-4th grade. The Rodeo will begin at 10 a.m. Children must bring their own bicycle and helmet to participate. The Pilot Club will be teaching the children how to be safe with their bikes by running them through a few obstacle courses. There will also be face painting. At the end of the event, each participant will receive a free drink donated by Union City Coca-Cola. The kids will also have an opportunity to win door prizes. Our door prizes were made possible from a Martin Wal-Mart grant.
