Brian Moffitt is the new seventh grade-high school youth pastor at Union City First Assembly of God, located at 1810 Pleasant Valley Ave. Moffitt is a native of Franklin, N.C. He earned a communications degree from Western Carolina University and has worked as a sports editor at his hometown newspaper, The Franklin Press. He is currently an employee of the Obion County School System as an English teacher and football coach at Black Oak Elementary School in Hornbeak. His wife of six years, Corey Moffitt, is a native of Nashville and is also employed as an educational assistant at Black Oak Elementary School. The Moffitts have lived in Obion County for two years. “We are excited about the opportunity that God has given us at Union City First Assembly of God. It is our desire to passionately lead a hungry generation of students into intense relationships with an intense God where they not only know about Jesus, but truly know Him and lead others to a relationship with Him,” Moffitt says.
