UCMS event slated

Union City Middle School will host an open house for incoming sixth-grade students and their parents Friday from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
Lunch will be served and students and parents will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the school and get information and answers to questions about the coming school year, a spokesman said.
