| Facing two accusations of incest, James R. Morton’s case has been bound over to the September term of the Weakley County grand jury. Morton is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a female relative. According to an affidavit, Morton made tape-recorded phone calls implicating himself in the alleged incest. Morton was arrested in April by Weakley County Sheriff’s investigators. According to the reports, Morton allegedly had sexual contact with the victim in December 2008 and April of this year. The affidavit also cites Morton confessed to his wife and asked forgiveness. He faces two counts of rape and two counts of incest. The Weakley County Grand Jury will determine if there is enough evidence for an indictment in September. WCP 6.25.09 | | | |
