Donald Cooper Posted: Thursday, June 25, 2009 2:10 pm The Messenger, June 25, 2009 Donald Ray Cooper, 79, of Kenton died June 22, 2009, at Gibson General Hospital in Trenton. Graveside services were set for noon today at North Union Cemetery in Kenton, with Leitherland Funeral Home in Rutherford in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Marlon Stephens was to officiate. He was born Dec. 16, 1929, son of the late Robert and Gladys (Hicks) Cooper. He was a Baptist and a bus driver and was the widower of Connie Cooper. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Richard Spencer of California and Elizabeth and Keith Quast of Kenton; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Keith McDow of California, Alan and Pam McDow of Nevada and Donald G. and Lois Cooper of Union City; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Carolyn and Robert King of Troy and Margie Ashley of Kenton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Ellene Cooper of Kenton and Barry and Nancy Cooper of Union City; and 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. |
