Teen programs set Posted: Friday, June 19, 2009 12:47 pm The Messenger, June 19, 2009 The Obion County Public Library’s teen reading program, Eclectic Summer 2009, has begun. It features a different theme each week that includes fun book displays and trivia questions, posted in the young adult section of the library, for “extra” entries in the grand finale drawing at the end of the summer. “Once you’ve registered for Eclectic Summer 2009, reading a multitude of books during the summer and putting forth a small sheet at the library for each book you’ve read also counts as an entry in the prize drawing,” according to a spokesman for the teen program. Each week will also include a special program which only teens are allowed to attend. Teens must preregister for each program at the children’s desk if they wish to attend, the spokesman said. A complete schedule is available at the library. Fit and Fine Week will begin Monday and on Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m., there will be a teen “Feelin’ Good Seminar” featuring yoga and post-activity treats of fruit smoothies. Those wishing to participate are reminded to sign up before Tuesday, the spokesman said. |
