Fred Osborne Jr. Posted: Tuesday, June 16, 2009 4:40 pm The Messenger, June 16, 2009 The Messenger has learned of the death of Fred Marshall Osborne Jr., 83, of McCalla, Ala., a former resident of Union City, who died May 26, 2009. Services were 11 a.m. May 28 at First Baptist Church in McCalla, with the Rev. Tim Vining officiating. Interment followed at Moore’s Cemetery, located behind the church. Pallbearers were Wiley Mc-Keller, Tyler McKeller, Corey Osborne, Justin Koscher, Derek Scott, Robby Scott, Grady Parsons and Brian Kenney. Honorary pallbearers was D.S. Moore. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and had retired from Home Baking Co. in Birmingham, Ala. He was a longtime member and deacon of McCalla Frist Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Scott Osborne; his sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Wayne Littrell of Grayling, Mich..; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Darlene Osborne of Chicago and John and Chris Osborne of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Grady Parsons of Columbiana, Ala.; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Wiley and Laura McKeller, Erin Osborne, Christina and Dan Herzog, Kim and Justin Koscher, Tyler McKeller, Corey and Lisa Osborne and Melissa Parks; six great-grandchildren, Brooks McKeller, Kate McKeller, Braxton Koscher, Ava Koscher, Sammy Herzog and Ben Herzog; his sisters-in-law, Marie Pruitt and Lena Mai Pruitt, both of Union City; and his brother-in-law, James Pruitt of Union City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie and Fred M. Osborne Sr.; his first wife, Virginia “Jackie” Osborne; and two brothers, Tom Osborne and Bill Osborne. |
